A SUCCESSFUL Christ on the Corner!

Dear Parishioners,

What a great DAY last Saturday, June 8, 2019 was where we held our second annual

CHRIST ON THE CORNER
“Go out to all the world”

What was this all about?

It was a parish day of prayer and service to the needy in our area, ourselves included as IHM property was weeded, gardened, and spruced up. At many places, such as Freedom House, Habitat for Humanity, the Catholic Worker Home, Gennesaret, Valor Home, Miller House, Haven of Rest, Falls Cancer Club, the Battered Women Shelter, and the Teen Pregnancy Center, we evangelized our Catholic faith, possibly making disciples while being Christ’s “carpenter” presence of love and helpfulness to others.

Who was this for?

It was for anyone and everyone of the parish, young and old, families and individuals, that possessed the ability to serve others in need all while they cleaned up, organized, raked, rebuild, washed and dried, painted, made beds, and talked about their relationship with Christ to others.  We had close to 200 volunteers!

Not only was the weather superb, but, the desire in our parishioners to serve others was THE BEST EVER!

Many blessings,
Father Jim
