Dear Parishioners,
Peter’s Shadow Healing Prayer Ministry has been active at IHM for the past four years. Most recently, and with the changing diocesan leadership in these years, the present diocesan bishop, Bishop Edward Malesic, after proper consultation and review has also given his approval for this Ministry to continue at IHM and to grow. This is a great blessing of diocesan affirmation to the working of the Holy Spirit within our parish church and beyond.
For your information, last year, the Peter’s Shadow School Leadership began a year-long journey of formation and now will be able to host at IHM the classes for students interested in this ministry of healing prayer; another giant step for bringing about the healing needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ. This will begin in the fall of 2021 and be ongoing yearly!
These classes will be known as ENCOUNTER SCHOOL, Akron, Ohio Campus – Peter’s Shadow.
Peter’s Shadow Healing Prayer Ministry will continue as a stand-alone ministry at IHM and will conduct:
- nights of healing prayer,
- private prayer sessions in their prayer room located in the IHM convent building,
- monthly healing prayer opportunities after IHM Masses,
- and offer Unbound prayer sessions.
In consultation with the Parish Pastoral Council, I do support this ministry and feel blessed by God that it has come upon us at IHM.
