Pastor Letter #2 – Supporting the Parish – March 29, 2020

Dear Parishioners,

I am hoping this message finds all of you in good health.

A stay at home order has been declared by our Governor. While it is something new to us and difficult to believe, abiding by this declaration is of utmost importance. Please STAY AT HOME! Through patient endurance we will overcome!

And secondly, no public Masses are allowed. What a heartbreak for us and again, something new to endure and difficult to believe. In this bulletin there are several opportunities to help you pray at home. May are taking advantage of this.

I recognize the true fact that many parishioners will be unemployed for an indefinite time, family incomes declining because of that. Definitely HARD TIMES FOR ALL!

A humble and gentle reminder to you about sacrificial giving and the church’s weekly offertory. IF YOU CAN, please continue to use FAITH DIRECT or mail in your weekly / monthly collection. I am sure you understand the reasons behind this reminder, but it is only for those who have the ability to keep up their offertory gift.

Now I have two other requests to those who have such an ability.
1. Perhaps you can consider an additional weekly offertory gift to IHM to make up for someone having lost income due to this world pandemic?
2. Perhaps you would consider enrolling in FAITH DIRECT our trusted electronic giving program, which would assist you in staying at home? An enrollment form is included in this bulletin or you can contact Faith Direct at https://membership.faithdirect.net/OH405 or (866) 507-8757.

Please think about these requests and make a good decision. They are requests to you ONLY if you have the ability.

Many blessings,
Father Jim
