Pastor Letter – Called For More – Emailed February 27, 2021

Dear Parishioners,

IHM Parish and I will be participating this year in a diocesan-wide pastoral initiative entitled CALLED FOR MORE.

As pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary my primary responsibility is to help us grow as intentional disciples of Jesus and to equip each of us to go and make disciples of others.

LOVE GOD + MAKE DISCIPLES + THROUGH MARY

So, I am excited to share this news. This diocesan-wide pastoral initiative will involve all parishioners in a voluntary way by participating in an on-line or hard copy paper survey conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute. The survey is named; The Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey. The survey allows parishioners to reflect on their own spiritual growth and discipleship and identify the ways in which the parish effectively supports that growth.

As mentioned above this very important survey will be accessible online by clicking this link – https://portal.catholicleaders.org/dmi/survey/dp3bbd83b5

The hard copy paper surveys are at the exit doors of the church and also will be available in the Rectory for pick up during office hours beginning Monday, March 1, 2021.

OFFICE HOURS:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00am until 7:30pm (Lunch 11:30-12:30)
Tuesday and Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm (Lunch 11:30-12:30)
Saturday from 9:00am until 12:30pm

SURVEYS ARE DUE BY MONDAY, MARCH 22ND, 2021.

When the surveys are completed, our parish will receive an aggregate report of the results. We will NOT have access to individual survey responses.

This survey will offer our Parish Pastoral Council a unique and important opportunity to learn about issues of importance to our families in a confidential and professional way. We will use these results to:

1) Look at opportunities to support parishioner growth in discipleship and
2) Create goals and action plans to achieve that growth.

Thank you in advance for your valuable thoughts and responses to The Disciple Maker Index (DMI Survey).

Many blessings,
Father Jim
