INTRO

A little boy complained of “PAIN” all over…. So, his concerned mother took him to the doctor.

“So where does it hurt, pal?” said the doctor.

“I hurt all over!” the boy said.

“What do you mean ALL OVER?” the doctor said.

And the boy touched his knee with his INDEX FINGER and cried, “Ow that hurts!”
Then he touched his LEFT CHEEK and cried, “And that hurts, too!”
Then he touched his EAR, tears running down his cheeks, “Even that hurts!”

The doctor looked him over and told him and his mom the diagnosis: “Son, you have a broken finger!”

The little boy was hurting. Poor child! Are you hurting these days?
Crazy politics
Omnicom
So many poor around us
A Family sickness
A Surprise death

Certainly, and especially in these past 2 years all of us hurt about something.

Here at the wedding in CANA …. Who was hurting, so to speak…?
The HEADWAITER
“They have no more wine!”

And you know the story He CHANGED WATER which brought great happiness!
You see, when JESUS is invited into a hurt, your hurt, our hurt, change occurs! AND I want you to believe this: that THE CHANGE THAT DOES OCCUR …. It happens in US!!!

Our world, all people, need JESUS in their lives; to invite Him into everything so that HE can CHANGE our hurts, our disappointments, our frustrations, our re-occurring sins.

That is what JESUS does!!! He changes US to bring about better situations that takes place in our lives.

Living with COVID is a BIG ONE, it is a BIG situation for all of us, so asking JESUS to come into US can relieve the situation when we find ourselves all upset, distraught, and troubled with this craziness!

CONCLUSION:

Jesus Christ comes to change our perspectives, the way we deal with one another, the factors that go into the decisions we make, the things we value and seek for ourselves.

We need to be the ones that remember to INVITE HIM into our minds and hearts, to speak to us and guide us through the things that we point out that hurt!

Taking communion today is INVITING the REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS CHRIST into our bodies, hearts, and souls to affect us and bring about better views and outlooks and can settle us down with His peace.
