A QPR trained instructor from Suicide Prevention Coalition of Summit County is coming to IHM Parish, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on Tuesday April 25th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm AND on Sunday April 30th from 11:30am – 1:00pm. Both sessions will take place in the IHM Gym. Orange directional signs will be posted. We invite you to spend 90 minutes to learn the three simple steps it takes to save a life:

1) Question
2) Persuade
3) Refer

QPR (think of it like CPR for mental health) is not a form of counseling or treatment. Rather it is intended to offer hope through positive action. By learning QPR, you will come to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communications of people in trouble, and gain skills to act vigorously to prevent a possible tragedy.
Both sessions are free and open to the public. No RSVP needed. Sunday’s session will be for both teens and parents, but anyone can come to either session.
