Dear Parishioners,

As you know, our church is open for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every Wednesday from 8:30-5:00. You are all welcome to stop in church during these hours, even for a few minutes, and spend some time with our Lord before the Blessed Sacrament. Many times, people come to Adoration to pray to our Lord for a specific person who is in need of prayer.

I wanted to let you know that beautiful Adoration Cards have been created and printed by IHM parishioners for you to send to people to let them know that you have prayed for them and their intentions in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament is powerful, enriching, and beneficial both for you and the receiver of the card.

These are beautiful cards and it’s a beautiful idea. I remember in my grade school years, we created cards called “spiritual bouquets!” This is much like the same idea!

I hope you use these cards to lift the spirits of the people receiving them, and to remind them of the power of prayer! The cards will be available at the Portage Trail entrance in one of the three LIGHTHOUSE CD racks. We are asking a $1 donation per card; you may place your donation in the secure box near the Lighthouse CD rack. Thank you!
