      Saturday, April 7th, 2018 is our parish day of service. A new event with plenty of opportunities to participate from you, allowing us to charitably assist the city and evangelize! The day will begin as we gather at 8:00am with prayer and praise in the church or outdoors (weather permitting) and of course coffee and donuts! Then off to the sites. Here are some ideas of where we will go.

      The committee discussed looking both in our own parish boundaries and also looking outward into the community, all within a 20 minute drive maximum distance. Here are some community needs:

      Valor House and Freedom Home (Veterans in Summit County)
      International Institute
      Catholic Charities
      Genessaret
      Catholic Worker
      Habitat For Humanity

      I like this new event as it shows us following our parish mission statement which is to LOVE GOD + MAKE DISCIPLES + THROUGH MARY. It allows us to “work together” and see the benefits of our care, concern, and construction! It brings CHRIST’S call of going out to others into action.
