Dear Parishioners,
School’s out for summer!
Graduations have taken place this past week. On Tuesday morning, we graduated 25 Kindergartners, all of which will enter our IHM 1st grade! Later that evening at 7pm we graduated 43 Eighth Graders, all of which will enter a Catholic High School. What an accomplishment for these students, each on to a new path of Catholic education. Congratulations!
When a school graduates 43 eighth graders and desiring to maintain its enrollment at the same total number, it is highly desired to bring in 43 newly registered students into the school enrollment for 2019-2020, whether in kindergarten and or other classrooms. Mrs. Kathy Friess does an excellent job giving tours to prospective students that seek enrollment at IHM either coming from different schools or moving into the Cuyahoga Falls area.
So far we have 27 registered kindergartners (our MAX number for one classroom with an aide) and there is one child on a waiting list! Happily, IHM has also accepted 8 more registered students into the school into other grades, which makes a total of 35 students to make up for the 43 graduating eighth graders. We anticipate that number will increase over the summer. Let’s hope it can be 8 more!
There is a Catholic “spirit” in our school that is very attractive to our parents and prospective students. The quick and informative availability of student “ambassadors” and Mrs. Friess for tours of the school are consoling to parents wanting to make the best decision for their child (ren).
Looking forward to the first day of school, 2019-2020, which is Wednesday, August 21, 2019!
Many blessings,
Father Jim
