Dear Parishioners,
Saturday, May 22, 2021 marked another successful parish activity during this COVID-19 pandemic. I am so proud to say that over 140 parish volunteers of all ages came together to go out into the community to assist others in their need. CHRIST ON THE CORNER is a beautiful way to reach out to others and IHM has done this for four years now. The weather, too, was most cooperative to complete outdoor work as well as indoor work.
A day such as this could not have happened without YOU! Many men and women of the parish stepped up as TEAM LEADERS and SITE MANAGERS to lovingly provide directions to us for accomplishing the projects at hand.
You went to such places as: Parishioners’ homes, Gennesaret, Habitat For Humanity, Camp Christopher, Falls Cancer Club, Happy Tails, Regina Health Center, Valor Home, Freedom House, Catholic Worker, Cuyahoga Falls Park & Rec, IHM Parish grounds. What a HUGE undertaking, but many hearts and hands, make light the work!
I personally thank the SOLID and DEDICATED COMMITTEE that handled all of this and helped us as parishioners to become “CHRIST” on the CORNER.
Many blessings,
Father Jim
