Dear Parishioners,
I have heard many positive comments about these FLOCK NOTES. I am happy about that and so glad this FLOCK NOTES program got in place for our church members for quick communication purposes. Thank you!
This is an important moment in our history as a faith community. Last weekend and this weekend, we gathered together in our Church for the first time in over two months to celebrate the solemnity of Pentecost and Trinity amid an extremely challenging couple of weeks for our nation. I pray for peace in our nation and throughout the world and ask Saint Michael the Archangel to intercede. I also ask that you pray for peace as well.
I am so grateful to have opened our church doors to you, though I recognize it may feel a little uncomfortable or unfamiliar in this new environment. Please understand we are all learning as we go and the re-opening of our Church is a process that will continue to evolve over time. Despite these challenges, it was a joy to see familiar faces in our Church again. Praise God!
There were approximately 85 church goers at the 10:00 AM Mass last weekend and 44 church goers at last Sunday’s afternoon 4:30 PM Mass. This weekend at the Saturday Vigil there were approximately 66 church goers, 145 church goers at the 10:00 AM, and 65 at the Sunday 4:30 PM. Again, I was happy to see you.
I recognize that many of you will need a little more time to return in person, and that is okay. I want you to know that even if you cannot join us in person just yet, you are still a part of our community and I love you, respect you, and want to continually serve you as best as I can.
Please continue to join us virtually through our live streamed 10:00 AM Sunday Mass which will be both open to the public for attending Mass, as well as it is being televised for the live stream for those at home.
Please, always know that you can reach me anytime by phone or email at (330) 929-8361 x14 or [email protected].
Many blessings,
Father Jim
