Dear Parishioners,
It is never too early to plan ahead and LENT will begin in just a little over than a week. Ash Wednesday, March 6th, 2019 begins the church’s Lenten season. Then, at IHM, on Sunday, March 10th, 2019, the FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT, Jen Ricard and I have invited my twin brother, Father John, to share a Lenten reflection for us.
I want you to plan ahead to make yourselves available that Sunday, March 10th. I am inviting you to attend the 10:00am Mass that weekend, as Father John Singler will be the celebrant, and then, after the Mass, make time to share some fellowship in the All Purpose Room, enjoying a simple lunch of soup and salad. Following that nourishment, Father John will lead us in prayer and a talk.
Johnny is three minutes older than me, much more handsome, and way smarter than me! He furthered his theology education and most recently did some study and reflection on the Liturgy and one’s participation during the Liturgy of the Mass. Reverence and knowledge of what we do and how we participate with the liturgical actions during the Mass can be very enlightening.
“Johnny” is witty, he is holy, and he is “my brother”! It should be a fun and knowledgeable event to start off our 2019 Lenten season!
You must RSVP to attend this luncheon and talk! Please RSVP to Julie Bowling at 330-929-8361/jbowling@ihmcfo.org or Jen Ricard at jricard@ihmcfo.org.
Many blessings,
Father Jim
