Pastor Letter – Catholic Charities Annual Appeal 2024 – Emailed May 3, 2024

Dear Parishioners,

On behalf of Bishop Malesic and the Catholic Charities Office I am encouraging your participation in the second half of the annual Catholic Charities Appeal if you have not yet done so back in February. PLEASE KNOW, I certainly understand that not all of you can financially participate in this annual appeal having fixed incomes or other circumstances.

The first portion of the annual appeal was held on the weekend of February 10-11, 2024. IHM does have a goal to reach which we have met every year due to your diligence and financial support. This year our goal is to reach $94,007.00. At the end of April, the Catholic Charities office records IHM is already at 69% of that goal!

Therefore, from the first portion of the campaign, parishioners have pledged for a total of $64,766.00! So generous! The second portion of the annual appeal will be at the beginning of next month with the hopes that IHM parishioners will 100% meet that financial goal.

As a reminder many parishioners already are on the diocesan mailing list and had been sent an appeal letter in January 2024 for their annual participation. Another letter will go out for the second portion of this appeal with the generous hopes that IHM will make a 100% participation in meeting our goal.

Donating to this 2024 Appeal is a direct way to transform the lives of 400,000 people across the eight counties in our diocese!

Many blessings,
Father Jim
