Pastor Letter – Family, Faith & Baseball – Emailed August 12, 2022

    Dear Parishioners,

    Saint Francis De Sales Parish in Akron have asked us to advertise a FAMILY, FAITH, AND BASEBALL event for Sunday, August 28, 2022, with the Akron Rubber Ducks. It will be a day of PRAISE, WORSHIP, and BASEBALL! Jeff and Kira Andrea will be the musicians along with their Mercy Divine Band and Singers.

    This event will be held at Canal Park (300 S. Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44308).

    Saint Francis De Sales Parish has partnered with the Akron RubberDucks to have the first ever Catholic mass in Canal Park. The $12 tickets include:

    • Prayer and Devotion hosted by Mercy Divine
    • Mass in the stadium
    • Playing catch in the outfield prior to the game
    • RubberDucks game
    • Post game children twelve and under can run the bases

    So, let us help to fill the stadium with FAITH, FAMILY, and FUN!

    • When: Sunday August 28, 2022
    • 11:40am: Praise and Worship with Mercy Divine
    • 12:00pm: Mass in Section 17, 18, & 19 Officiated by Fr. Jeremy Merzweiler (Pastor of St. Francis de Sales Parish)
    • 1:15pm- 1:30pm: Family Catch on the field
    • 1:30pm: Reading with the RubberDucks
    • 2:00pm: Watch YOUR Akron RubberDucks vs. Richmond Flying Squirrels
    • POST GAME: ALL kids twelve & under can run the bases
