Wednesday Mass will be at 8:00am

Beginning Wednesday September 4, 2024, IHM will bring back its 8:00am Mass. Father Ralph is back from his sabbatical and will once again be on the Mass schedule, which assists me in making sure there is a priest Wednesday morning. Therefore, there will be no more Mass at 5:00pm after repositioning. All Mass intentions for the 5:00pm Mass will be moved back to the 8:00am Mass.

Simple reposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place at 5:00pm but no Mass following it.

Friday weekday Mass changes from 8:00am to 8:15am

Having begun this past week on August 23, 2024, the Friday morning Mass begins just a little later from 8:00am to 8:15am.

This time change assists in being able to bring over the school children for their weekly school Mass at the start of their day. The school will supply ministers at the altar for Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion, Gift Bearers, and Altar Servers. Jeff Mills will do mass music, and at times, Mercy Divine musicians, Kira and Jeff Andrea.

All parishioners are still welcome to attend this Mass. There are plenty of seats available even with the full student body of 307 students attending. And so, I hope you continue to attend this Friday morning Mass.

Just so you realize, school begins at 7:55am! All children should be in their classroom seats for attendance at that time and then will come over to attend the Mass. They could not be at Mass by 8:00am but can be assembled by 8:15am.

This way they start their day with Mass instead of having a class subject first. Teachers felt that BEGINNING their day with the Mass is better than starting with a subject, then dropping everything to attend Mass at 9:30am.

I thank the teachers for their insight in making their weekly Mass so important.
