What is new in our school?

The IHM Elementary Catholic School Community Drama Club is getting ready for the Spring Musical, Peter Pan, Jr. It will be in our Parish Community Center (Gym) on the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 19, 20, and 21. The dedication of the many students to train and express themselves “on the stage” is impressive. They are guided by our music and drama teacher, Caitlin Seidita. Talent abounds in IHM Elementary Catholic School!

Looking into the future for IHM Elementary Catholic School we have new registrations in many of the grades throughout the school and therefore a higher enrollment already for next school year 2024-2025!

We do have a great school curriculum that is extremely attractive to many students and their parents. IHM also has a smaller classroom size that likewise is appealing to many for the best education of all students. This is not to say IHM can still grow in classroom size in some grades but keeping a classroom size of no more than 23 or 24 students. Next year the average student teacher ratio for grades K-8 is 18 to 1.

For your information, while the Ed Choice Financial Scholarship has and will be beneficial in the future there remains an annual Catholic parish subsidy of some amount. This subsidy amount is yet to be determined. It is a difficult mathematical calculation as of now.
