Dear Parishioners,
More safety efforts coming to Immaculate Heart of Mary School Building!
An important and BIG project was decided this past week to create an even more “safe” school building for all who use the school. Safety committee members, include myself, Kathy Friess, Jen Conti, Jeff Andrea, and Chief Davis prioritized the first need for safety would be INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DOOR SECURITY.
New wooden doors (without glass) will be purchased for the interior classrooms. Improved locking mechanisms for these doors would also be a part of this security measure.
For the exterior doors, a monitored electronic controlled access system at all main entrance doors will be installed.
These efforts are made possible because IHM School submitted in the fall of 2022, for the Ohio K-8 safety grant through the federal government. Last week we received the grant money of $100,00.00!
Many blessings,
Father Jim
