Pastor Letter – Soul Survivor Saloon Thank You! – November 17, 2019

Dear Parishioners,

I asked the Parish Council several months ago to help create a “social” event for the parish that would be strictly “social” and not fundraising. We came up with a date and a plan to put on a MURDER MYSTERY DINNER; “Murder at the Soul Survivor Saloon”!

The event was held last weekend on Saturday after the 4:30pm Mass and 230 people attended! I was amazed at the number of attendees. It was terrific. We hosted a western themed dinner and dessert while putting on the play in three acts. Attendees arrived in “western gear” such as cowboy boots, bandanas, hats, and shirts. We all had fun!

Your Parish Council Members volunteered to decorate, shop, and work the event along with some other members of the parish and of the Knights of Columbus. One of our parishioners modified and created the “play”, directed it, and was Master of Ceremonies for the play. So we had a mini New York like off-Broadway play!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO Cheryl Watts, Dee Girard, Eric & Jackie Anthony, Richard Sestokas, Mary Margaret Averill, Laura Pruchnicki, Claudia Perge, Mary Beth & Randy Grether, Paul Schuh, Jon Hudak, Dayna Dunbar, Louise Beitzel, Dan & Mary Heller, Kevin Koehler, Jan & Jim Sugalski, Lisa Holland, Dale Gaydos, Nathan Smith, Dave Pelligra, Chad Kleibscheidel , Jacob LaGuardia, Joel Garvin, and Jeremy Craft.

I am proud of you to come together like this, spend time with one another, bring in your friends to socialize with our parish members, and be happy in one another’s company!

Many blessings,
Father Jim
