Pentecost Sunday ABC 2025

INTRO:

A young executive was tooling down a street a bit too fast in his new shiny, sporty JAGUAR, but when he got to an area where there were a number of parked cars he slowed down watching for kids darting out between the cars…when all of a sudden a BRICK smashed into his car side door!!!!

HE SLAMMED on his brakes got out to see the damage and look for who it was that threw the brick!!!

When he spotted the young boy…he began to yell…….
Why did you do that?
That is going to cost you a lot of money to fix!
What is wrong with you?

I am sorry Mister, but I did not know what else to do…………??
My brother rolled off the curb and fell out of his chair…. He is too heavy, and I cannot lift him!
Would you please help me get him up and back into the chair?

Stunned…he helped them and even took out a fancy handkerchief to wipe tears and some blood. When he saw that all was okay, he heard the young boy say,
MAY GOD BLESS YOU MISTER!………………

……………………….. Too shook up for words he simply watched the boy push his wheelchair bound brother down the sidewalk…. Looking at his car….it had
NOTICEABLE DAMAGE,
But the driver NEVER bothered to repair the dented side door!!!!

He kept the dent there to remind him of this message….

DON’T GO THROUGH LIFE SO FAST THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A BRICK THROWN AT YOU TO GET YOUR ATTENTION TO BECOME THE BEST YOU CAN BE IN CHRISTIAN SERVICE.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS INSPIRING US ALL THE TIME TO GET US TO DO GOD’S WILL, TO BE OF CHRIST-LIKE BEHAVIOR, BUT,
WHEN WE ARE GOING ON SO FAST WE CAN’T HEAR OR LISTEN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.

IF WE TRULY BELIEVE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN BREATHED INTO US THEN, BY FAR, THAT’S GREATER THAN ANY WORK DUTY or SCHEDULE TO KEEP.

BEING THERE FOR OTHERS
THAT’S THE FIRST AND FOREMOST NEED AND the BEST WAY to live in the SPIRIT.
