SOME NEW THINGS ON THE PROPERTY!

Last year our school’s PAG (Parents Assistance Group) began the fundraising for a new upgraded playground. This wonderful “green and gold” activity set is now in place and usable for our school, PSR, and parish children. Of course there are multiple slides, climbing ladder and bars, and so many other things! May all children enjoy and be safe.

Artist, Christine Comeriato, art teacher in our school, is hand-painting a mural to dedicate this new area with the phrase:

Playtime with God’s blessing!

The mural will be painted on the wall of the concession stand and storage garage. This is a great and colorful addition to the area. Come and see!

Later in the summer there will be constructed a large cement “patio”. It will hold eight picnic tables for community gatherings! Maybe in the future a “pavilion” or “pergola” can be added. We will see!

Boy Scout, Gavin Carr, managed a project this spring to gain his Eagle Scout award. The project was building a Ga-Ga Pit, which is a type of children’s kick ball game in a contained area. This will be used by the school children for the day school recess, the LINX after school care program, and by all parishioner children during the season!
