Dear Parishioners,
Mary Murphy has offered herself to our parish for a little over seven years. She has done many things for the people of this parish in regards to faith formation. IHM has received the benefits from many “converts” now participating in the life of the parish, children being well-prepared for their sacraments, parishioners growing in their biblical knowledge, and that is because of her!
I have much for which to be grateful on account of her ministry for the past seven-plus years.
Mary came to me at the end of April, expressing a need to either cutback or resign from ministry at IHM parish. She expressed that there are “at-home” needs that causes her to evaluate her use of time at home and either cutback or resign from ministry outside the home.
I have spent considerable time thinking and reflecting upon IHM and its needs, along with Mary’s personal needs, and have made the decision to inform you all that Mary Murphy has accepted resignation from her position as Parish Catechetical Leader as of Thursday, June 27, 2019. For her it is a relief and a welcomed new path for God to lead her in His ways!
These kinds of decisions are never easy to make, but, we had a good conversation and we believe this is a good decision for all things considered.
And now, on to, “How will all that she did get done?” I know God will provide!
Many blessings,
Father Jim
