Update from Fr. Jim Regarding Mass Procedures – Emailed July 10, 2020

Dear Parishioners,

Seven automatic foaming hand sanitizers were installed inside the church at all of the ENTRY DOORS for your safety and the safety of others. As you know MASKS remain required and there are some at the entry doors if you may have forgotten yours.

I will continue to celebrate daily and weekend Masses as usual, relying on Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to be masked, sanitized, and distribute Holy Communion to you.

I am paying attention to the change in Summit County from Level 2 to Level 3 and now scaling back on some of my pastoral regular activities, remaining mostly at home. Summit County certainly doesn’t want to become Level 4!

I will remind you that the dispensation from attending weekend Mass remains in effect and perhaps, lovingly for others, you may consider for the next few weeks, holding back from attending Mass at IHM. I won’t require that you do, just merely suggest that you may also s l o w d o w n on doing regular activities as if there was no pandemic, trying to remain at home as much as you can.

I think of you often, especially those I haven’t seen for some time in your pew for worship, as most of us sit in the same pew all the time! You are not forgotten!

Many blessings,
Father Jim
