McIntyre Fund Helps Many!

Dear Parishioners,

The McIntyre Fund, a restricted bank account at Immaculate Heart of Mary, has once again helped parishioner school families significantly!

Prior to his retirement in 1978, the first pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Father Thomas McIntyre, established this fund to assist with tuition for elementary school families of the parish in financial need. The donations received throughout the year, either from the Father McIntyre envelope collection or from donations offered to this fund in memory of a deceased parishioner, are disbursed in their entirety to assist with tuition of school families in the parish who are in some financial hardship.

This account is held at Falls Catholic Credit Union. Annually there is approximately $15,000.00 brought in as donations for this specific use.

My thanks to so many of you who have chosen to use the Father McIntyre envelope for this restricted purpose. I try, with consultation from the members of my Finance Council, to establish a tuition rate that parallels rising costs, yet, can still remain affordable for our school families. Your generosity to this envelope does help keep students in our school.

Thanks to you, this year we were able to assist 24 families and 45 students at Immaculate Heart of Mary School.

Many blessings,
Father Jim
