Dear Parishioners,
At the end of the school year the health inspection from the city for our All Purpose Room, school cafeteria, and kitchen sited us for “weak” drains in the kitchen area. This caused us to investigate this problem, and we found that the drainage pipe in the floor that leads to the outside sewers was cracked and broken in several locations. Amazing what scoping cameras can do and find!
Therefore, we had to obviously break open the floor, dig out the old original drainage pipe, and replace it with a new one.
Today, everything is working well. We still have to re-tile the area of the floor where they replaced the pipe. The floor tile is not the best match for now, but it helps us get back in operation and use.
Also, in process this past week has been the re-shingling of the Convent building, the Church, and the Rectory. Amazing to watch the roofers scale up and down these buildings!
Many blessings,
Father Jim
