Dear Parishioners,

Christmas has always been a time of “giving to others.” This is a charitable action of giving time, talent, and our treasure to everyone. Our IHM Catholic elementary school teachers implant this teaching upon our students in many ways.

In particular at IHM school there is an annual established campaign to support this Christlike message of giving of ourselves to others. It is an Advent campaign called SUPPORT A FAMILY. This campaign is put on throughout every grade in the school and supported by IHM’s student council.

It has been an annual program, widely received by the students and their parents (guardians) who contribute their pennies, nickels, dimes, and dollars during the month of December. While it is not mandatory to contribute, many WANT TO PARTICIPATE in helping our IHM families in need to have a good Christmas!

All of you understand that some families come under “hard times.” During the month of December students, faculty, staff parents, and grandparents offer “something” that will financially help these IHM families undergoing some “hard times”!

This year the campaign benefited a total of $1,318.00 and this amount will be distributed among seven (7) families.

All of us should be proud that this Christlike action is being taught, listened to, and acted out!
